About

My interest in photography began, as with most people when I was much younger, with a 110 roll film.
I eventually progressed to an Olympus trip before moving on again to an Olympus OM10.

My first Canon camera was a T90, a superb camera which was a joy to use, then I bought a EOS1, a heavy beast but capable of fantastic pictures. I used Velvia slide film as a preference but was always conscious of the film and developing costs and felt restricted from experimenting with different settings.

Time moved on and I had little time for photography before selling the EOS1 and moving to a newly released Powershot G2 and embracing the digital age, it was a revelation.

Wanting better quality and looking at digital SLRs I obtained a 20D with kit lens just as they were being phased out for the 30D. I was hooked once again and my enthusiasm for photography was re-kindled.

Today I still have the 20D but have also recently acquired a 5D full frame camera. A small selection of lenses making up my kit.

I want to get out again on my walks in the Peak District and to visit different locations throughout the UK and occasionally further afield with my family, to capture the beauty of this place we have the privilege of sharing, our planet Earth.

"All I need now is time".
